Bas Vodde – “An Agile Fireside Story”

Bas Vodde – “An Agile Fireside Story”

Bas Vodde, co-creator of the LeSS (Large Scale Scrum), gave a great talk last night at the [email protected] group in Sydney last night.

Bas Vodde is a coach, programmer, trainer, and author related to modern agile and lean product development. He is the creator of the LeSS (Large-Scale Scrum) framework for scaling agile development. He is the author of Large-Scale Scrum: More with LeSSScaling Agile and Lean Development: Thinking and Organizational Tools for Large-Scale Scrum and of Practices for Large-Scale Agile and Lean Development, all together with Craig Larman.

One of the key take-aways, is that LeSS designed around having a Scrum of multiple teams, rather than having multiple scrum teams – as in SaFE etc. So in LeSS there in only one product owner, with one product backlog, shared across multiple scrum teams.

Bas also talking at some length about his preference for feature teams rather than component teams.
